I'm sure you are well aware that veterinary school is going to be expensive, but you may not have realized that the costs actually start with the applications. Application cost may be constraining when trying to select how many, and which, schools to apply to. Though I only applied to four schools (UC Davis, Colorado State, Washington State, and Oregon State), I spent over $1,000 towards applying to vet school alone. Why you should not stress out too much about your GRE scores

The GRE is certainly a major cause of stress for pre-vet students. Being a $200 (and climbing) 4-hour exam, it's not easy to stomach taking it more than once! Some people even take GRE prep courses that cost hundreds of dollars themselves (which I do not promote). It is easy to freak out before, during, and after this exam. A future post will describe some GRE prep strategies, but this post is here to tell you why not to stress out about your GRE scores, and why you may not need to take it more than once if you are worried about your results. To illustrate this, I have displayed my GRE scores (yes, MY scores) and compared them to the admitted class of 2020 GRE statistics for the vet schools I was admitted to and denied from.
